I work as a security guard for securitas security and start work for a local hospital soon I was just wondering what kind of "Security Issues" might I be in store for
Mental health patients off their meds
Drug seeking patients in ER
Irate people waiting to be seen
Custody issues/Divorce issues - like disruptions when a non-custodial parents tries to get in to see a child or make medical decisions.
Theft from rooms
Threats to staff for various reasons
People busting into post op or pre op without consent because they are panicing or upset about a loved one in surgery
Perhaps assisting with the chaplain or social workers if someone is trying to leave without medical consent or if a family member dies and becomes uncontrollable
Walking throughout campus buildings, parking lots/garages/ etc to patrol for loiterers or vandalism.
Sitting at a parking booth to allow docs/staff/patients access to parking area and turning people away.
The dude who is feeling homicidal and needs watched
Gang-bangers seeking retaliation (until police arrive)
The dude who just beat the crap out of his wife and can't be with her in the ER
The drunk who is belligerent (until police arrive)
The family of 20 who want to be with a loved one and can't
Psychotic patients
*usually, just the very existence of a big guy with a uniform that says SECURITY on it is enough to keep most people under control. If it gets really hairy, the local police have guns and tasers and they really like to use them.
Emotional, unreasonable patients or visitors. Maybe visitors that want to visit during off hours that are reluctant to leave without seeing a patient. Is it in a large city? If you'll be posted near the emergency entrance or waiting room, it's possible you could deal with angry patients tired of waiting. Hope your social skills are up to the task, haha..I hated being a security guard.
People stealing babies.
Suffering and screaming familes - when someone passes
Traumatic brain injury patients that might start wondering around and leave the hospital in their gowns.
People stealing furniture and pictures

I got hired at Target as a seasonal cashier and really want to make a great impression so I am asked to stay. I am punctual, flexible, have a positive attitude, and really think Target is the number 1 retailer to work for.
Well I work for Target.. I have only seen I think two or three seasonal people actually stay on after being hired for seasonal positions. One of the reasons why seasonal help is seasonal is because people don't do a lot of shopping during January, February. Our hours are cut so low its hard to survive on. your best bet is to make all your shifts, make the best impression you can on all the team leads. etc. My advice to you is to see if you can get Guest Serivce trained as well which allows you to go work that as well.
The best way to be kept as a permanent employee is to do exactly what you say your work qualities are. I was hired as a seasonal employee at Sears and when the holiday season ended they kept me full-time. Make sure you arrive on time and when you're scheduled as a seasonal employee you really can't afford to miss a day (especially since it's such a busy time of the year). Try to pick up on the job quickly. The faster you learn the more they'll think they can depend on you but don't be afraid to ask for help on something if your not sure. Be helpful. If you see something that needs to be done, just do it. Don't wait for someone to tell you. Managers like to see initiative.
Just do your best to be the best worker they ever had. Try to show that you're not only as good as the employees that are already permenant but better.
I know, before even asking, all jobs are essential - from changing the bedsheets to brain surgery. But I was just wondering, what type of job is more satisfying?
I'm not smart enough to be a doctor, but would really love to give being a paramedic or a nurse a try. Has anyone here occupied one of those job roles? Or know what it's like?
Pay isn't important to me, and I can put up with strained shifts. But none the less, I just want a career in medicine where I'm actually useful
I am currently trying to get into the ambulance service as a trainee paramedic, I think that this or nursing is one of the most rewarding jobs that you can have
A trage nurse in the army. Our troops need good people to help them
example:
30% food
30% bills
10% extra
etc and stuff.
15% rent
15% clothes, shoes
5% books
30% bills and food
10% entertainment
10% alternative health products
15% other…
bills 50%
food 15%
extra 20%
More particularly Texas.
For Example, If I open up a Recording Studio out of my home and it is my only job.
There is no such thing as a home business tax.
With any business that you start, you would pay income taxes and self-employment taxes on your net income.
In your opinion, what is the creepiest and unsavory profession on can legally obtain and why?
dentists -
lets face it they stare into people's mouth all day. Dream books also say dreams about teeth have sexual undertones. I also know of a lot of dentists in my state that have csc convictions.
Bank Manager.
Right now they have to figure out how to make money.
New laws allowing people to opt-out of NSF fees are going to make banks agressive.
Expect to pay high fees for checking.

Ok first off I am a nice person but I have this neighbor that is horrible so I would find out who owns his mortgage and buy it and kick his butt out of the neighborhood. I'm sure all the other neighbors would have a party to celebrate.
I would buy closed end funds and make 80K off them a year for life.
Few investors know much about closed end funds. I have never seen an advertisement on TV for a closed end fund. Closed end funds trade very much like stocks. I bought my first closed end fund because I entered the wrong stock symbol. I did not know what I bought until I saw my statement and found I had bought the wrong stock. I was trying to buy Black and Decker and ended up with Black Rock Core Trust. This prompted me to investigate what I had bought. I held Black Rock Core for five months while the market tanked and I made money on the trade instead of losing money. This prompted me to investigate closed end funds.
Not interesting but I like having a nice flow of money!
I'm a big fan of money!
I would cash my check in single dollar bills and put them all in a wagon. Then I would run down the street dragging the wagon behind me and letting the money trickle out as the wind catches it.
I know rates are very low right now with all banks. What is directly tied to rates. so what rates need to increase for banks to pay more on deposits? Its it Prime Or Libor?
Bank deposit rates aren't tied to anything. They are called "managed rates" meaning that they are what managers say they are. If management has a lot of opportunity to make loans, then they might decide to raise deposit rates to attract more deposit money to loan out. If the borrowers are few and far between, then management can lower the rates so they aren't paying interest on deposits that they can't loan out. Note that "prime" is itself a managed rate on the lending side.
It is related to the prime rate in as much as banks will not pay much more on a bank deposits than they can get from the federal reserve bank. In short they will borrow where they get the lower rate.
There are plenty of charities out there to feed the homeless, the children, and the elderly, but no one wants to feed the trolls. How can I start a program to fill this great need?
I'll donate dildos. I need to give something back to the people who have made me the successful entremanure that I am today.
My pleasure. And yours too.

Do not worry, the government will take care of trolls.
What do you think Ben Bernanke does all the time? He uses helicopters to throw money to them trolls.
If you are in the United States, research "501c". Go to the IRS and your state tax boards websites. These will get you started
hope this helps,

I have a can of corn nibblets I can send.
