So I applied online about 2 months ago to Walmart, and just got a call to come in for an interview this Monday. The lady on the phone didn't tell me what position they had open or which Walmart store it is. Since I applied online and check several different stores, I had to call back to clarify in which store the interview would be held.

Should I call back again to see what position they're interviewing me for, or do they usually say this in the interview? It's hard to tell because I selected any job I felt would be interesting (about 5 different jobs.)
When I interviewed with Walmart they didn't tell me what position I was being interviewed for until the interview. But they were really easy-going about the whole thing, and Walmart has training programs for all the positions, so there's no worry that you won't be experienced. And often they will interview you for one position but if you don't fit they will put in a different one.
Call them back and say this. (Works very well.)

"Hi. I'm calling about the job interview appointment. I'll be out interviewing for a few different jobs that day. I'm trying to find a job which is a good fit for me. What positions are open?"

That will demonstrate real interest in the job. But it will also let the person know that you're out looking. They may miss you as a potential employee if they can't offer you a job that is interesting. See what I mean? You want them to offer you a job you'll like. So make them believe you're looking and haven't settled on Walmart yet.
They'll let you know at the interview so dont sweat it. The interview "strategy" for a cashier vs. a stock person at WalMart really doesnt vary much.

And really, unless you're painted into a corner, do you want to work there? Theres a lot better places to earn a paycheck
If you need a job, I wouldn't really care what position it was, at least I would be able to get my foot in the door and move from there. No I would not call her back. Good luck with the interview and I hope you get the job.
well they would probably tell you in the interview but i am not sure my sisters would probably know about this stuff because one of my big sisters is getting a job but any who i would say call but you should probably wait
It's an entry level position. Those are all the same, either on the floor or working the register. They'll put you where they need you. They're getting ready for Christmas. But they could keep you beyond the season if you work out.
I would wait it out and see which job they are offering you (rather than calling again). They could be doing a general interview to see which job would be best for you.

Good luck!
They'll tell you in the Interview. They may have a choice for you also.
The interviewer should tell you right when you get to the interview or soon after.
if they dont, ask. im sure they won't mind you asking.

good luck with your interview =]
no, dont stress. go to your interview and then after the interview ask what position is open.

good luck

Please help, I need advice ASAP!!?

So today, I lost my virginity. It was amazing; everything I thought it would be and more.

But a few hours later, I got my period. Usually on my period, I have very mild or no cramps. However, now I am having very uncomfortable cramps. It isn't anything horrible, but definately irregular.

My question is, is this normal? Does is have anything to do with my having had sex? How can I help ease these cramps?

If it makes any difference at all, we DID use a condom, and it did NOT break… I don't know if that matters…
Doesn't sound like anything wrong. Your body is probably just reacting to the trauma down there. Muscles were stretched - now they contract. (Think about it)

Good job using protection also - And yes that does matter. If you hadn't - the feeling could mean something else.
first of all wrong catergory kiddo

and no you don't usually get cramps from bad sex

okay so im in 8th grade and im thinking of signing up for a magnet program for high school and i dont know which so what kind of jobs could i get in the futuure with these feilds:

Global Technologies

International Baccalaureate

Advanced Engineering Applications

Engineering,Science and Technology

Criminal Justice,Finace and Law

Medical Careers

Medical Arts
8th grade, wow! Good for you to be proactive.

Your list is pretty open; it includes technology, finance, law and medicine. You can probably find a job in any of those fields. The big question is what should you do?

To decide what you should do, the first step would be deciding what you like to do. What do you enjoy studying? Don't pick a career just because you think you can get a job in it. You'll spend a LOT of time in your career, so you should enjoy what you're doing?

Once you decide what you want to do, find out what the requirements are for that career and tailor your education towards it.

Good luck with your career. I have a feeling you'll be very good at whatever you decide to do.
looking for a job is hard, especially if it's months since you last did it! I was jobless during the last couple of weeks, but I discovered the website in the box below which is really helpful in lots of ways. By taking their advice, in a month or so I soon got myself a job.

I am studying for an apics exam and really am trying to understand what this means. I have no history in accounting so please keep it as simple as you can. Thanks
Hi Ollie, basically it is a "model" that identifies activities in an organization and assigns the cost of each activity resource to all products and services according to the actual consumption by each: it assigns more indirect costs (overhead) into direct costs.

In this way an organization can precisely estimate the cost of its individual products and services for the purposes of identifying and eliminating those which are unprofitable and lowering the prices of those which are overpriced.

In a business organization, the ABC methodology assigns an organization's resource costs through activities to the products and services provided to its customers. It is generally used as a tool for understanding product and customer cost and profitability. As such, ABC has predominantly been used to support strategic decisions such as pricing, outsourcing and identification and measurement of process improvement initiatives.

Hope that helped, Good luck on your test!

I am asking this question for a homework assignment so please answer truthfully.
Please talk about your experiences with Medicare and/or Medigap health insurance.

How does this coverage and the processing for claims compare with the coverage available prior to retirement?

Did you have the option to continue your company-provided benefits in retirement?
I cant help you much because I did not have any health insurance until I got Medicare. I don't have Medigap insurance - Part C - because I could not afford it and because I am also on Medicaid.

Every month the Medicare payment is deducted from my Social Security check. The amount is the same for every person $96.40 per month. When you enroll in Medicare you decide if you want Original Medicare or Advantage. Since I belong to an HMO that is Medicare Advantage.

There are no claims forms to process for Medicare at all. If you have Medicare, the hospital and doctor sends the bills to Medicare and they reimburse the doctor or hospital at about 80 per cent of the cost and I pay the other 20 per cent. Most doctors say they lose money on Medicare reimbursement rates and still need to have privately insured patients.

Doctors do not accept only Medicare patients because they lose money. The only place a Medicaid will be accepted is at a clinic.

I don't know how Medigap works.

I do not have any retirement from any company.
Medicare
Part A Medicare, if worked 10 qualifying years, free, is hospitalization.
Part B Medicare is 96.40 per month or more depending on income.
Part C is Medicare Advantage Health Plans, that administer Part A/B instead of Medicare, its an option.
Part D is Drug Coverage, you can add to Medicare for a cost.

Medigap, pays over overages that Medicare, and ones other insurance policies are covering. So your question is a little off balance.
The comparrision is off, A/B set rules and amounts of premiums, deductables, coinsurance amounts and copays.
Medigap picks up most or all of the rest, you pay for this, its not offered by the Gov, just approved for use with Original Part A and Part B.
If you select at Medicare Advantage plan, you cannot by law, have Medigap insurance.
Medicare is comforting to those who have no benefits, and once retired is more affordable then private policies.
You say be honest, as if this question is something someone create lies about lol!
Theres always good and bad parts of any insurnce company and how it handles business. Theres nothing perfect in life ever!
Its a benefit, to some, maybe a blessing, to some, maybe alot of frustration, to those, they expect something for nothing, and do not appriciate, how many/most countries offer NO retirement or disabled persons health coverage at all!
Naw not on it, know about it though, hope this helped some.
Depending on someones health issues, any insurance can be diferent, in how its percieved if its doing a good job for someone.
As with ANY insurance, its usually ignorance to how it works, steps to follow, and getting informed is the problem for anyone with insurance.
Medicare is open 24 hours a day for questions, other companies are NOT.

I need some advice..anyone please help?

i have been workin so hard. to find a job. i finally get an interview which is tomorrow and im so nervous about it. anyone have any advice to maybe ease my nerves?
Don't worry and be polite. dress nice and not too trendy. you do not mention your age and the job you are seeking. Have a nice smile and be confident, but don't over do it. ask questions that are important to the job. I have interviewed young folks and the best way to get the job is to be polite and humble. don't drink a bunch of coffee before you go because it will set your nerves off. And most important don't smoke cigarettes because many like me are non smokers and have fired people for taking too many smoke breaks. Best of wishes and hope you get that job!
First of all, calm yourself through some deep breathing exercises. This seriously works, or at least does for most people, because it's increasing oxygen to the body, and increasing blood circulation throughout the body, including the brain, causing release of natural chemicals within your body which make you feel calmer and more at peace.

To do this, start by inhaling slowly through your nose for a count between four and six, hold for a count of between three and five, then slowly exhale for the same count of four to six. Repeat this about ten times. You'll generally find you can complete this sequence in something under a total of three minutes.

The sort of "stage fright" fear most people experience at various times in life, including before job interviews, has a constructive side to it, but it can also have a destructive side if it's too intense, which it seems to be in your case. The breathing exercise should help to calm you so you can go into your interview with confidence, with just the right bit of "stage fright" to cause you to hopefully present yourself in a positive manner to the employer.

What you shouldn't do… and I realize this is easier said than done, but it nevertheless needs to not be done… is to worry about not getting the job, because you can sabotage yourself by worrying about all the things that can go wrong. Such a concern is a valid one, but as I said, if you worry enough about whatever could go wrong, you'll subconsciously cause whatever to go wrong.

Hopefully you'll be able to find some place to take a few minutes before your interview to do at least five of the calming breaths. If you don't think you will, then try to find some place to do it before you suspect you'll be in a place where you can't find a spot to do it.

Good luck and hope you get the job, so you don't have to stress over it any more.
yes i do. smile and be confident. because you are who you are. you do the best you can do tomorrow i think. know your c.v. helps as well to feel a bit more secure and confident. and always always remember: it is not only you looking for something (a job) - it is also the employer looking and searching for a person.. a person just like you.. otherwise why should he invite you?

and never forget. should it work out then it was supposed to work out. should they decide not to choose you - you cannot change it. it's just supposed to be the way it is. sometimes a failure leads you to a big success and.. a dreamjob. it did with me!! never stop dreaming.

i wish you good luck, a smile on your lips and confidence when walking through that door :)
as soon as you walk through the door act like your really confident and smart, first impressions remember!

take deep breaths, think positive

There are too many to list! You can advertise online in website classifieds (like Craigslist), print magazines, billboards, on the sides of buses, bus stops…advertising is only limited by your imagination. Personally, I think internet advertising is the most cost effective method that you can track and measure.

Suggestions for my career path please.?

I am 16 and am currently taking some required classes at college.

I am very interested in math, science and art related stuff. I'd like a career that involves these things in some way or the other. I don't want to be a teacher or a doctor though.
Thanks for your suggestions.
peace
If you enjoy math and science, you are a right candidate for a program in engineering. An engineering degree will open a wide array of career paths suitable for you.

Check out the website below and click on Engineering. Click on each branch and learn more about each one. Try to see which branch you like the most. You won't have to choose a branch of engineering right now. In all branches of engineering the first couple of years of study focus on Math, Physics, etc. You can visit the departments and labs, talk to professors, etc. before you choose a branch of engineering.
as i read your question and your description in the fields that you excel i think the best career for you is engineering. because you excel in math and science.
congratulations on your jump start. I agree with engineering or architecture if you want to mix math and science. Maybe forensic science or even aeronautics.
chemist?
teacher?
Architect?
Astronomer?
Engineer?
way to go at going to college at a young age. I am very proud of you.

Well here is the scoop. I recently took a job on that I really don't care for. However the company is going out of their way to welcome me and put me on a pedestal with professionals. Now I turned down a job that payed more money and a little better in the environment but similar. Now I really want to work in a different industry all together. Any advice on how I should leave. I of course wouldn't leave until I am reassured for another position but this job says I have the ability to leave at will. It is a full time job and I am taking partime classes in the spring. Hopefully I can leave in the spring. Cause they hired me as a fulltime employee.
If you don't care for a job you are not enjoying doing it. You have very rare chances of advancing though no one knows why your current employer is having a crush on you.
Be realistic and if you can get a better paying job where you can have all the fun and yet have the sparetime to do whatever you want to do, you are advised to hold on!
