We've parked our Cara in our front yard for a year and a half now. We just today recieved a stupid letter from the city saying were not allowed to park our cars in our own front yard! I didn't know they could control what you do on your own property. We are pretty annoyed because the only place we can park otherwise is the back yard, and it's hard to get there. Can we argue against it, or object the letter?
You mention " cars " how many do you have ? That is the reason for ordinances , some people over do it . before you know it some people will have three cars and a pickup truck parked on their property and it becomes unsightly .
It is a city ordinance, you have no argument. Keep the car in the front yard, they will give you a citation and you will have to pay. The ordinance is to keep the city as "visual inviting" as they can make it. No matter how "hard it is" you should do it anyway.
edit: after X amount of citations, you run the risk of getting thrown in jail.
I used to live in Florida. The town I lived in had the same ordinance, no parking on the lawn. If you received the letter from the city, then there is nothing you can do to fight it, because then they would have to let everyone park cars on their lawns too.
uh…zoning has always controlled what goes on on your property. So do the police and a bunch of other agencies.
Fuggedabout parking there.
It appears Adolph actually saved many lives by setting an example by not smoking!
if u wanna go there… we can actually thank him for most modern day technology we use (alrite maybe not most but there are a lots)
for eg… radio or planes wouldn;t have been this developed if it weren't for adolf and ww2 which he started….
there are some stuff tht happend on science tht were developed during second world war.. like iron making process…. nuclear energy.. .(i knw america made the bomb but they would;t have it weren;t for germany and japan)
nuclear energy is like the best thing tht came out of ww2 (provided u don;t live in europe or japan)
its one of the important source for electricity in most western nations..
and there won;t be tht quentin tarantino's recent movie….. lol
but those credit doesn;t even start to compensate wht he did …..
He died a while back and I'm not sure how we'd get the credits to him ![]()

I was in Kohl's and gave them my Sears charge card, and it was refused, why? The card is current and good.
LOL…because you went to KOHL's NOT SEARS!!! LOL A Sears card ONLY works at Sears…..hence the name!!! WOW…that made me laugh!!!
that like going to a shell gas station and try to pay with a chervon credit card
it wont work
now you can go to KMART there they will accpect a sear charge cardd
is it possible you got kohls mixed up with Kmart they are not the same company'
Unless you Sears card had the MASTERCARD logo on it, its not an accepted card.
If it did have a MC logo on it, then you should talk to a manager because they can't refuse that card.
Store cards are only good at the branded store. Sears are good at Sears stores (and Kmart), Wal-Mart cards are only good at Wal-Mart, Kohl's cards are only good at Kohl's stores.
Sears cards are good at Sears and Kmart. I don't believe Kohl's has any affiliation with them, so I wouldn't expect the card to be accepted there.
Because Kohl's is not Sears.
My husband is in the military and we are scheduled to move to Japan in April 2010. We have had our house on the market, for sale and for rent, a year already. Does this mean I will have to stay back until we sale or rent? If so any ideas of what we can do to get the house off of our hands???
You need to get the price down to where someone will make an offer. Even if it means having to pay a few hundred at closing, at least you wouldn't be impacting your credit by losing it. Or let your lender know you've been deployed, they might be able to help. You could sell on a contract for deed, and I would ask for 20% down payment. Or rent with option, again with a large deposit and specifics if they don't pay. But you do have some options. I just wouldn't wait any longer, drop that price and move it.
Lower the asking price. If it has been on the market for a year, then it is OBVIOUSLY overpriced. If it still does not sell, yes you will have to either rent it out, let it sit vacant and still pay the mortgage, or you can let it go into foreclosure.
Try and lease it with an option to buy. Yes, it might be best for you to stay until you resolve the situation. If you are using a real estate broker, add a selling bonus to the selling agent. Good luck and thank your husband for his service.
price it correctly, get rid of clutter- have your agent advise you- marketing the property correctly will help a lot, you don't have to stay behind, they can send the papers over there.
this company is a broker for loans, they charge a £50 fee, when taken from your bank it shows as North Financial Services… the company address seems not to be correct, given in Manchester M16 0BW. They say they have a loan for you, you give them the cash and after 2weeks of waiting for paperwork they tell u its not gone through.. The phone number I have for them no longer works. I have spoken to Consumer Direct who say until I have more info on the company there is nothing i can do… has anyone had any dealings with the company? Have an address or phone number for them? Please help…
Here is their registered details, although I can't find a telephone number for them anywhere (North Financial Services are also registered at the same address).

There are a number of other businesses operating in what appears to be the same unit (oddly).

Maybe the Consumer Watchdog can do something with this information? Although I must ask… why go through a loan company that you have never heard of or has a reputation?
When i was younger a friend of the family owned a house on Mont-Tremblant lake, in Quebec. Now I'm looking for a new home there and would love to find this house.
Is there a way for me to do this?
What do you mean, "find it"?
Do you mean physically drive there and see the house? If you remember where it is, you could drive past it … if you don't, you'd have to contact your friend or someone else from the neighborhood to see if they remember its address.
If you mean find it on line … if it's not for sale, why would anyone have put it on a Web site? You could always try googling the address and see if anything comes up, but that's not really likely unless something big and newsworthy happened at that address in the past.
You can't find a house for sale if the owner don't advertise it.
You can door knock on all the houses in Mount Tremblant and offer a price they can't resist, maybe they sell if someone genuine offer them a good price.
I recieved a call from a job on friday and i was told that i was going to get a phone interview this morning. However I did not get any calls this morning. What might be the reason for this? I am planning on calling them tomorrow.
What should i say????
They probably dialed your phone number wrong or something (I have been guilty of that).
Tell them that you were patiently waiting for a phone interview, and feel like there must be crossed wires. Ask what phone number was written down, and let them know when you would be available again.
i agree, but you should call them first thing in the morning
I'd like to deposit the traveller's check into my sister's BOA account. Is it possible? Thanks.
You sister can deposit the check–endorse it like any other check.
Hi Just asking a what would you do question
Okay my Mother has a home that she is renting out to a family
and they have been living their for four months
Except one month , the rest of the months of that they have owed rent.Problems have occurred.Like a bounced check, late rent etc
Now this month the renter called and said their rent would be late and sent in Friday.Friday has passed have not heard anything from them.
They have been doing this every time "Rent coming in Late" and no response or call.Except for this time.
I have been telling my mother to give them a notice to leave .Because its getting ridiculous.I dont know what else to say to her
Any suggestions on what to do in this situation or what you would do
Go buy Mom a Notice to Quit at stationery or office supply store. Needs to be completed, two copies, signed and one personally delivered to these tenants. NEEDS to get them out, ASAP. This is the way they live and it won't get better. Much easier to get them out in summer or fall and get new tenants in there.
Can do it herself or get an attorney, but needs to give them Notice to Quit to start the ball rolling. Go to County courthouse and get the forms for filing an eviction. Good idea to have attorney do it the first time, pay attention, get copies of everything.
Get in touch with a real estate attorney and start the process to evict them. If you keep giving them a break, they will never pay on time.
Also, go over there and knock on the door and demand the rent.
She needs to start eviction proceedings. Hire a lawyer and get this done today.
