I want to study Employment Law via distant learning. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to which certification is best. I don't have any law certifications. Starting from scratch.
It depends what you want to do with it in the end. Employment Law isn't normally studied until MA level for those wishing to take the degree route.

Are you looking to work as a soliciter? HR Advisor?
If you want to practice employment law the traditional route of applying to university to undertake a law course, open univsersity do one via distance learning and i'm sure there are others then take an MA as an employment law specialist. If you are not ready academically for this you can do an A-Level in Law or a BTEC which should give you the enterance requirments.

If you are looking to go into HR side of things as a job then you will need to start with the CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice which you can do distance from the CIPD website then onto the CIPD Diploma, then MA in HRM.

Hope this helps, if you let me know your aims of doing the course I will think about what is most appropriate..
Depends what you want to do with the qualification when you have it.
If you are a member of a union the TUC hold an employment law course that can be studied by distance learning or by day release at college and gives a very good insight into the basics. Its free if your member.
Look at their web site for more info.

So I applied online about 2 months ago to Walmart, and just got a call to come in for an interview this Monday. The lady on the phone didn't tell me what position they had open or which Walmart store it is. Since I applied online and check several different stores, I had to call back to clarify in which store the interview would be held.

Should I call back again to see what position they're interviewing me for, or do they usually say this in the interview? It's hard to tell because I selected any job I felt would be interesting (about 5 different jobs.)
When I interviewed with Walmart they didn't tell me what position I was being interviewed for until the interview. But they were really easy-going about the whole thing, and Walmart has training programs for all the positions, so there's no worry that you won't be experienced. And often they will interview you for one position but if you don't fit they will put in a different one.
Call them back and say this. (Works very well.)

"Hi. I'm calling about the job interview appointment. I'll be out interviewing for a few different jobs that day. I'm trying to find a job which is a good fit for me. What positions are open?"

That will demonstrate real interest in the job. But it will also let the person know that you're out looking. They may miss you as a potential employee if they can't offer you a job that is interesting. See what I mean? You want them to offer you a job you'll like. So make them believe you're looking and haven't settled on Walmart yet.
They'll let you know at the interview so dont sweat it. The interview "strategy" for a cashier vs. a stock person at WalMart really doesnt vary much.

And really, unless you're painted into a corner, do you want to work there? Theres a lot better places to earn a paycheck
If you need a job, I wouldn't really care what position it was, at least I would be able to get my foot in the door and move from there. No I would not call her back. Good luck with the interview and I hope you get the job.
well they would probably tell you in the interview but i am not sure my sisters would probably know about this stuff because one of my big sisters is getting a job but any who i would say call but you should probably wait
It's an entry level position. Those are all the same, either on the floor or working the register. They'll put you where they need you. They're getting ready for Christmas. But they could keep you beyond the season if you work out.
I would wait it out and see which job they are offering you (rather than calling again). They could be doing a general interview to see which job would be best for you.

Good luck!
They'll tell you in the Interview. They may have a choice for you also.
The interviewer should tell you right when you get to the interview or soon after.
if they dont, ask. im sure they won't mind you asking.

good luck with your interview =]
no, dont stress. go to your interview and then after the interview ask what position is open.

good luck

Please help, I need advice ASAP!!?

So today, I lost my virginity. It was amazing; everything I thought it would be and more.

But a few hours later, I got my period. Usually on my period, I have very mild or no cramps. However, now I am having very uncomfortable cramps. It isn't anything horrible, but definately irregular.

My question is, is this normal? Does is have anything to do with my having had sex? How can I help ease these cramps?

If it makes any difference at all, we DID use a condom, and it did NOT break… I don't know if that matters…
Doesn't sound like anything wrong. Your body is probably just reacting to the trauma down there. Muscles were stretched - now they contract. (Think about it)

Good job using protection also - And yes that does matter. If you hadn't - the feeling could mean something else.
first of all wrong catergory kiddo

and no you don't usually get cramps from bad sex

okay so im in 8th grade and im thinking of signing up for a magnet program for high school and i dont know which so what kind of jobs could i get in the futuure with these feilds:

Global Technologies

International Baccalaureate

Advanced Engineering Applications

Engineering,Science and Technology

Criminal Justice,Finace and Law

Medical Careers

Medical Arts
8th grade, wow! Good for you to be proactive.

Your list is pretty open; it includes technology, finance, law and medicine. You can probably find a job in any of those fields. The big question is what should you do?

To decide what you should do, the first step would be deciding what you like to do. What do you enjoy studying? Don't pick a career just because you think you can get a job in it. You'll spend a LOT of time in your career, so you should enjoy what you're doing?

Once you decide what you want to do, find out what the requirements are for that career and tailor your education towards it.

Good luck with your career. I have a feeling you'll be very good at whatever you decide to do.
looking for a job is hard, especially if it's months since you last did it! I was jobless during the last couple of weeks, but I discovered the website in the box below which is really helpful in lots of ways. By taking their advice, in a month or so I soon got myself a job.

i plan on going into the Business Workfield. but i was wondering what i should go to college for and what i should become.. im really interested in math(numbers) and i love to take risks and i've always been a business man at heart but im kind of a lazy person
It isn't an easy task to decide on a career mate, i know where your coming from. But you love Maths and thats great.. you got a good choice of well paid jobs. Have you considered being an accountant, or a financial advisor, also being a computer programmer requires math skills. As for the being a lazy person part you will get over that when you are in a job you find interesting and it will inspire you greatly. Good luck mate and good on ya!

Any type of advice is gladly appreciated. It would be a self business. I manage everything. Every little thing including accounting bookeeping and the service itself advertising all me.
Managing your own business where you do everything is a real juggling act. Don't forget to keep your sales strong. Sometimes business owners are good at what they do but not good as salesmen. On the flip side, don't sell more than you can deliver as that is not good for the business either.

If you are not good at an aspect of the business it is good to hire professionals who can help you. Accounting comes to mind but keep a very close eye on accounting. I had a friend who helped manage a pest control business and the accountant ripped them off and did not pay bills she was supposed to and send in tax statements. It was a mess when they took it back from her so beware.

I am in the process of learning Quickbooks which is an accounting program for small business owners. If you can learn this it will help you watch the money flow.

Another thing I tell people in general is to prepare your taxes manually at least once. Read all the fine print on what is tax deductible. People presume they can deduct a lot of stuff but there are rules about everything. People presume they can deduct all their medical expenses but they only become deductible after you have spent a certain amount (over 4% of your gross income).

Good service is your best advertising–get referrals.
The best advice I can give is this. Don't micromanage every aspect of your business. Hire a bookeeper and CPA and other proffesionals to help you. The more time you spend handling the details of the business the less time you have to provide the service and bring in new business. Your plan is a recipe for burnout.
The best advice I can give you is don't be afraid to spend money. I went 3 years doing everything myself for my website and business, I started paying people to do my website work and things I wasn't the best at. That gave me more time to actually figure out more ways to make money.

Also make sure your name for the business makes sense, don't have a stupid name.

Track all your cost and time, make sure you understand what something is truly costing you

so i applied for capitol one in the summer and was declined because i have no credit history, well the whole point is to build my credit but anyways. Is there any other credit cards that can help me build & establish my credit? I don't want a student one because i'm not a student so i do not qualify for that & i don't want the prepaid ones either. Can any one help or have any suggestions on some good ones? thanks. -xoxo
apply for a target card, walmart, or sears or any major retail outlet credit card they will probably give you a $200 limit with a really high interest rate of around 15 percent just spend 20 or so a month or whatever you can afford and pay it off and in a few months re-apply for a major credit card also if you don't have a job or any kind of income most places will not accept you
well if by prepaid you mean a net spend card or something along those lines truly you don't want one. but if you open a bank account and deposit say 300 dollars in a secure account and have the bank issue you a credit card with a 300 dollar limit then usually after 12 months of on time payments they would release your 300 bones and bam you have credit… should you default then the bank is guaranteed its money. its a credit building exercise. or you could just go with a check card and have the money taken from your account as you go. credit is a trap and at the same time important. so dont abuse it. pay off your balances right away. dont carry balances over long periods of time cuz the interest will kill you. and good luck
Orchard Bank may give you a chance, but there is a $59 annual fee to have it, and your limit will be low ($300 or so) to start off. Are you employed? How much do you make per month? That could be why you are getting declined. If you do not make enough per month to fit their requirements, you will be declined.

Only other way would be get a secured card. You put $200 or more in an account and it is tied to a Visa or MC. After about a year or so, you may be able to convert it to a non secured card if you pay your bills on time etc.
The only credit card you're going to be able to get is a secured card. If you use it responsibly for a ew years, you'll qualify for a sub-par unsecured card. Use that responsibly for a few years and you'll qualify for a regular card.
you dont have to be a student to get a student one? do you? but thats how i built my credit

if those fail try a macy or a jc penny card if you live in the states
Capitol One or Credit One
you sure you want to get into debt at such young of an age?

what are the ups and downs of using a Realtor. Do I need to have my banks OK before I even start looking?
First of all see how much is your budget. Then what is the type of house you are looking for. After that then decide whether you can afford the deposit of 5%. That's for a new house. If it's an existing house, the realtor may charge you and the existing houseowner 5-10% commission.
After that for both new and existing house, you can apply for your loan.
