I want to study Employment Law via distant learning. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to which certification is best. I don't have any law certifications. Starting from scratch.
It depends what you want to do with it in the end. Employment Law isn't normally studied until MA level for those wishing to take the degree route.

Are you looking to work as a soliciter? HR Advisor?
If you want to practice employment law the traditional route of applying to university to undertake a law course, open univsersity do one via distance learning and i'm sure there are others then take an MA as an employment law specialist. If you are not ready academically for this you can do an A-Level in Law or a BTEC which should give you the enterance requirments.

If you are looking to go into HR side of things as a job then you will need to start with the CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice which you can do distance from the CIPD website then onto the CIPD Diploma, then MA in HRM.

Hope this helps, if you let me know your aims of doing the course I will think about what is most appropriate..
Depends what you want to do with the qualification when you have it.
If you are a member of a union the TUC hold an employment law course that can be studied by distance learning or by day release at college and gives a very good insight into the basics. Its free if your member.
Look at their web site for more info.

I recently got a phone call saying that I was going to be taken to court and or arrested cause I didn't pay a cash advance load back

the funny thing is that I never got any money deposited into my bank of america account and the man said that they have proof of this from january 2008. I didn't even open my checking account until march 2008 and I would've known if there was money into my bank

Besides I never signed or agreed to terms with this cash loan place and usually you have to fax something to them

So what gives?? Can anyone tell me if this might be a scam and that I shouldn't worry about this
they also told me I could lose my job

Also when I spoke to this person he was foreign and I couldn't understand him
To answer the last comment first, keep calling back until you get an American accent on the phone. Ask the person who answers if they are in India, then hang up if they say yes. They talk your ears off.

This is not a scam if you had a cash advance from a credit card or a credit line, even a long time ago. It has nothing to do with a regular bank account. When they call again, be sure to ask for some documentation in writing from January, 2008. They are collection agents and they will say all kinds of B.S. to get money from you.

Tell them to send you proof in writing. They probably won't, but don't agree to any repayments and don't get into a conversation on the phone. Just hang up after you insist on proof. Just get documentation that this is your debt.

If this wasn't a cash advance on your credit cards, all I can think of is you may have an overdraft at your previous bank. check your credit card accounts and see if you had a cash advance.
They might have the wrong person. It is also possible that someone stole your credit card number and got a cash advance.
If you *know* that your bank account is after the date in question.
If you *know* that you didn't take such a loan.

Then ignore it.

Even if the debt is legit, all they can do is sue you and produce proof in court. You can't be arrested over a bad debt.
If you know you didn't sign a thing, then it's a BIG SCAM!

If they threaten you, and they're out of the state, get the FBI involved so they can go after those people.

Provide with all the information you have, including emails, phone # etc.
it's a scam!! even if you owed money to someone they can't put you in jail for not paying?? they did away with that years ago!!
Of course it's a scam. You can't be arrested for debt.
of course it is. they are trying to get your bank info. if it was true you would have gotten letters in the mail from collection agencies
Honestly its not in your best interest and it can be a lot of interest payments. But if you need one you need one. Best of luck.
This is a scam. Not paying a debt is not a criminal matter.
There is a very slim chance that it's a case of stolen identity. Ask for details about what account this was deposited into (account and transit number), exact amount, exact date so you can confirm with your bank. I shudder to think someone could have stolen your identity, made an account at a different bank, got the money transferred and run.

You can't lose your job, but I wouldn't brush this off as a scam until you get a bit more information. Tell them you're eager to resolve the issue, but need the information first (which you do to straighten this mess out). If they don't want to provide that information then tell them to take it to the police. They will have to provide these details to police as well, and if they didn't want to give them to you, you can bet they don't exist and they're not going to take it up with the police.

I really do think it's a scam, but on the off chance it's a legitimate collections agency you don't want to write them off completely just yet.

Any tips at all would help. Creams, Specific exercises, vitamins, supplements, etc. I heard that massaging the area where cellulite is can help increase blood flow. Any suggestions or rec commendations for treatments? I'm mostly looking for creams or lotions that actually work.

are FREE adn give points for cash or give cash awards for taking surveys? The cash doesn't have to be $100.00 or something. So far, I know of Lightspeedpanel. Anyone know a site just as good or even better?
Here is a comprehensive list of many legitimate, free, paying survey sites. I personally use all of these and get paid! By paying - I mean cash, paypal, gift certificates and prizes. NOT sweepstakes and entries into drawings. I feel like those are a waste of time since your chances of winning are so small that you are basically doing surveys for free.

i have been workin so hard. to find a job. i finally get an interview which is tomorrow and im so nervous about it. anyone have any advice to maybe ease my nerves?
Don't worry and be polite. dress nice and not too trendy. you do not mention your age and the job you are seeking. Have a nice smile and be confident, but don't over do it. ask questions that are important to the job. I have interviewed young folks and the best way to get the job is to be polite and humble. don't drink a bunch of coffee before you go because it will set your nerves off. And most important don't smoke cigarettes because many like me are non smokers and have fired people for taking too many smoke breaks. Best of wishes and hope you get that job!
First of all, calm yourself through some deep breathing exercises. This seriously works, or at least does for most people, because it's increasing oxygen to the body, and increasing blood circulation throughout the body, including the brain, causing release of natural chemicals within your body which make you feel calmer and more at peace.

To do this, start by inhaling slowly through your nose for a count between four and six, hold for a count of between three and five, then slowly exhale for the same count of four to six. Repeat this about ten times. You'll generally find you can complete this sequence in something under a total of three minutes.

The sort of "stage fright" fear most people experience at various times in life, including before job interviews, has a constructive side to it, but it can also have a destructive side if it's too intense, which it seems to be in your case. The breathing exercise should help to calm you so you can go into your interview with confidence, with just the right bit of "stage fright" to cause you to hopefully present yourself in a positive manner to the employer.

What you shouldn't do… and I realize this is easier said than done, but it nevertheless needs to not be done… is to worry about not getting the job, because you can sabotage yourself by worrying about all the things that can go wrong. Such a concern is a valid one, but as I said, if you worry enough about whatever could go wrong, you'll subconsciously cause whatever to go wrong.

Hopefully you'll be able to find some place to take a few minutes before your interview to do at least five of the calming breaths. If you don't think you will, then try to find some place to do it before you suspect you'll be in a place where you can't find a spot to do it.

Good luck and hope you get the job, so you don't have to stress over it any more.
yes i do. smile and be confident. because you are who you are. you do the best you can do tomorrow i think. know your c.v. helps as well to feel a bit more secure and confident. and always always remember: it is not only you looking for something (a job) - it is also the employer looking and searching for a person.. a person just like you.. otherwise why should he invite you?

and never forget. should it work out then it was supposed to work out. should they decide not to choose you - you cannot change it. it's just supposed to be the way it is. sometimes a failure leads you to a big success and.. a dreamjob. it did with me!! never stop dreaming.

i wish you good luck, a smile on your lips and confidence when walking through that door :)
as soon as you walk through the door act like your really confident and smart, first impressions remember!

take deep breaths, think positive

im an independent contractor i made around 22000 this year i also have 3 children to claim on my taxes would i have to pay or will i get a return and does the third child matter in my case also if im in college will that make a difference thanks in advance
Let's see. $22,000 of SE income will cause you to owe $3109 in SE tax.

22000-1555= 20446 of income.
20446 - 5700 (if single) - (4 times 3650) = about $15 in tax.

If your 3 children are under the age of 17, you could get $2600 in additional child tax credit.
If your 3 children are under the age of 19, you could get quite bit of EIC. The EIC has been expanded to a 3rd child this year.

The education credit–if you actually paid tuition–is also partially refundable.
If you had no taxes withheld, then you will definitely have to pay self-employment tax, and may have to pay income tax. If you also have a regular job as an employee, then the answer depends on how much tax was withheld from your income at that job.

A "return" is a document that you send to the government. The money that you may or may not receive is called a "refund".
Get yourself a copy of Turbo Tax or use a professional tax preparer. Your questions are so wild that it's hard to figure out your question. Maybe you could repost and ask one question at a time.

I want to trade-in my car for a new one. My car is worth about 4k
There are plenty of places that offer quick loans for people with bad credit with no-hassle applications and easy requirements.

I've bookmarked this site to go back to next time I need a loan…

http://www.knowledged.info/go.php?link=auto

Good Luck.
Usually you can go to a dealer and they can finance virtually anyone. The issue you will need to determine is what you can afford to pay and then determine what kind of car the dealer will be able to finance for you. With bad credit you may need to try multiple dealers but this will be easy. Otherwise there are some companies on the internet but they are hit and miss and may cost you too much up front. I hope this helps but it is a good way to start rebuilding your credit. Good luck
You will need to have a cosigner, my husband tried to get a loan on a truck for 5000.00 and we were going to pay half down in cash but they still said without a cosigner they couldn't help him.
What state are you in??

Example: Tennessee - west, middle, or east??

Can anyone tell me about this?

I have a check for over $3000 for college. I have National City bank. Can anyone tell me how long they will hold the funds?
The usual amount of time a bank holds a check before it clears is 3 to 5 business days. You should contact your bank for specific information about your check.
