I am currently studying in Leeds and my hometown is York (20 minutes away on the train). When I left for university my previous employment (New Look) said I could work for them during christmas from Dec 11 - Jan 11 but I handed out a few CVs and today I had an interview for Game.

However, it's only a christmas temp job but if I got the job I would start straight away. This is the dilemma:

If I get the job do I take it and commute to York in that month I go back home (it will cost about £7-£8 return on a train) in the hope that a more permanent job comes of it?
First off - How certain can you be that New Look will have you back, can you have this confirmed.

If the Game job is yours - I guess you have to shell out the train fare and hope they can give you extra hours when you are home in York over the Holidays.

So I guess you have to firm up the plas of New Look, and weigh up the pros and cons of each.

Hours offered and pay etc.
