is the interview challenging? Do i need a great resume to be hired?
No…many corporations and accounting firms offer job shadowing programs and unpaid internships. Try checking our career websites like www.kpmg.com or www.pwc.com or General Accounting Office (GAO) for the government. Also try out Fortune 500 company websites. Usually, they look for someone who has an interest in accounting or business (if you are majoring, etc.). Good luck!
You can also get great interview tips from books at Barnes&Noble/Borders and on the internet. Do your homework on the company, stock price, key initiatives, leaders, and why you want a job there. Make sure to wear a suit to the interview, be on time, and take copies of your resume with a folio/notepad to jot down information. Send thank you emails to all the people you meet and interview with. Just a few tips…hope this helps!
