Back in September of 2006, I took a home-study course in the field of Medical Claims and Billing. I finished the course in January of 2007 with a final grade of 92%, and received a certificate in Medical Claims and Billing in April of 2008. I am in my mid-thirties now, still worrying and wondering if I'm too late and too old to apply for a full-time job as a Medical Biller.
You are not too old to apply for any job at any age in this country. We have age discrimination laws.

Given Generation Y's utter ineptitude and lack of work ethic, any employer is probably grateful to hire a Gen X anyway. Just review up on your courses so you have the info fresh in your mind. What the employer is looking for is someone who is intelligent, knows what they are doing, is reliable, responsible and will work hard and get the work done RIGHT.
