It really depends on if you want to get paid to simply host the ads or if you want to get paid based on clicks.

To simply get paid to host the ad a great way (if you have high enough traffic) would be to place a link on your site about where you would be placing the ads that says something to the effect of "Your ad here" or "See your ad posted here". From there it would lead them to a page you create with pricing information as well as information about your traffic (demographics, how many visitors, etc.).

If you would be satisfied with getting paid per click you could try Google AdSense or LinkShare. Many companies also have programs where if someone buys their product through your website you get paid a commission. LinkShare provides links to literally thousands of companies that will do this (Netflix as an example).

I am a webmaster myself and the best way to create revenue through advertisement is Google Addsense. I have it on my website and they pay you to advertise companies that pay them. And they are often to do with your website. IT is hassle free and you just get sent a check in the post! I have made quite a bit of dough out of it.
