like for example if one card has a 9% APR and another card has 18% APR, does the card with 18% APR build your credit faster than the 9% one? (If you pay all payments on time on each one)
All a higher interest rate does is cost you more money, if you do not pay your balance in full each month.

A full credit report usually shows the maximum credit you have used for an account, credit limit (if the creditor reports that), balance due, last payment, monthly tally of no data (if you had no charges), paid as agree (a good thing), or how long it has been delinquent (if over 30 days late), along with how long the account has been open and other notes if it has been closed and why.

Some people suggest carrying a balance to help your score, but that is misdirected, because you can achieve the same effect for less money by just charging what you can pay in full each month to build a history of "paid as agreed". Avoid making larger charges unless you can pay them off within a few months.
As everybody has stated, a higher APR does not mean ones builds their credit faster. There are many factors in ones credit score. Too many to go into here.

Sounds like you are new to the "credit card" game. You should go to the FICO web site I have included to learn and educate yourself about credit. The more you know, the better off you will be.

Here is there link

Hope this helps answer your question and also educates.
No a higher APR does not build credit faster. APRs are not on your credit report

paying during the 0% introductory period would be the same as paying at a higher rate later on a payment is a payment, the only real thing that effects your credit is debt to credit ratio
Nope. Your credit report and your credit score only reflect how well you pay your bills. Not what your interest rate was. The interest rates of your CCs aren't even recorded in your credit report.

The only thing that can build your credit is to pay your bills on time, every time.
Not at all
A higher APR just means you get the privilege of paying more to borrow that money from the credit card issuer! LOL
No it just means you are a poor credit risk and need to pay more interest. Only one benefiting is a company.
Not one bit.

Your credit report lists how much you owe, and how much your limit is, but nothing about the interest rate.
No. Interest rate has nothing to do with how quickly one builds credit.
No. You'll just be paying a lot more interest
No a credit card with a higher APR will not help you build your credit faster. You will simply pay more money out of your pocket to use the card. It is preferable to have a card with a lower APR. No one wants to throw away money paying interest.

You need to know that the two most important factors in your scores are:
Whether you pay your bills on time.
How much of your available credit you actually use.
It's essential that you pay all your bills on time, all the time. Set up automatic payments or reminder systems so that you're never, ever late. All it takes is a single missed payment to trash your credit scores — and it can take seven years for the effects to completely disappear.

You also don't want to max out any of your credit cards, or even get close. Keeping your credit use to less than 30% of your credit limits (10% is better) will help you get the best possible credit scores — and should help keep you from getting over your head in debt, as well.
Finally, you don't need to carry a balance on a credit card to have good credit scores. Paying your bill in full each month is the best way to keep your finances in shape and build your credit at the same time.

You still have to exercise some caution, though. Look for a card with a low or nonexistent annual fee and low interest rates. For now, just get one: Opening a slew of credit accounts in a short period of time can make you look like a risky customer.

For credit scores to be generated, you have to have had credit for at least six months, with at least one of your accounts updated in the past six months.
Using your cards regularly should ensure that your report is updated regularly. It also will keep the lender interested in you as a customer. If you get a credit card and never use it, the issuer could cancel the account.

Don't charge more than 30% of the card's limit.
Don't charge more than you can pay off in a month. You don't have to pay interest on a credit card to get good credit scores. It's much smarter to pay off your credit cards in full each month.
Make sure you pay the bill, and all your other bills, on time.
A higher APR means the lender will apply a higher rate of interest to the money they lend.

Your credit history basically tells a lender how well you manage your money. That you pay bills on time; that you are paying off large debts; that you spend only the money you have, and you're managing the money lent to you by previous lenders.

It allows them to calculate the level of risk that they place their money at by lending it to you.

Travel Insurance- I'm so confused!?

Basically, I'm trying to get travel insurance, but I'm having 3 issues which are confusing me!

Firstly- I'm 17 when we set off on our journey, and I can't seem to find any where to get travel insurance for just one traveller if they're under 18? Is the only answer to book it with a friend as well and make them (18) the lead passenger?

Secondly, although I'm 17 for the duration of the holiday- I turn 18 on the day we travel home! Does this complicate things at all? Because things seem to be cheaper for under 18's- will I be uninsured for my journey home?

Thirdly- do you have to declare any medical conditions/ medications/ diagnosis's? Because if you do- I need to check with my doctor what I even need to declare!

Can anyone please help, I'm so confused!
You should declare everything as otherwise your insurance will be invalid. Also try theycompare.co.uk, confused.com to see if you can get travel insurance on your own name and to compare quotes.
a minor is not able to make a contract and an insurance policy of any kind would be a contract

I'm thinking of starting a small easy-to-run website as a starter (my first website). What are some good ideas? The ones i can think of are more along the lines of a second, more serious website that i would be starting up and this first one would be one that is capable of getting decent traffic but yet doesn't take up too much time, and not hard to run.
I'm not lazy, i just want to start a basic website and make it successful before i start a larger one.

Thanks! (in advance)
I'm just as stuck as you… but I'm actually thinking of doing a fansite for Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA. I'm a hopeless cirque addict, I can't help it!

Try that, or maybe make an online gaming site? Maybe an RPG site?

An info site, like a wiki?

Like I said, i'm just as stuck, so good luck!

Ja, Fullmetal
Do like a poll site.
Set up like heaps of polls, and get answers and stuff.
Or do petitions or something.
Or something about MARSHMALLOWS! yumyum…

I am about to finish my msc in human evolution and have a passion for evolutionary biology and zoology. As well as this I'd love to travel to south America and Africa to see animals in their habitat. I also enjoy photography and creative writing. I'm trying to decide on what the perfect career for me would be, any ideas?
Paleontology is one option, although you'd be working with long (long!) dead animals. What about considering a career as a nature photographer or film maker?
I want to be a vet and sounds like u could be one !!!

Maybe u could work in africa or South America and treat animals there

Good Luck!

dont really need one , just want to keep atleast one or 2 credit cards for emergencies? I usually just wait and buy things straight out , with my own money. is a credit card a bad idea
?
you definitely wont be in debt if you keep just for emergencies as you said! just make sure you pay off bills when they come, and you'll be fine and dont purchase things if you know you cant pay the entire amount off by the end of the month… that is whats wrong with people , they get credit cards max them out then go in debt. ur only in debt if you use the card irresponsibly…and use more than they can pay back. no matter how much u charge to your card make sure you will be able to pay it off in no more than 2 payments and make sure you know you have the $$ to pay it back dont go check by check . because with the economy anything can happen.. just be smart about what you buy….. its the people that abuse credit cards and have to spend $ if they have it and dont know how to manage money that go in debt
You should have 3 credit cards at least. They help your credit rating should you want a loan for a home/car etc. You can pay them off monthly and not pay any interest. Pick ones with no annual fee. I find them more convenient than carrying a lot of cash. Also some have perks like cash back. Also, some store ones will save you money as they many offer % off purchases at times. One of the ones I have from a store also has cash back but you need to spend it in that store. As long as you can be disciplined to pay off the balance each month, I see no down side to credit cards.
You will be in debt silly..

its a bad thing.. if you cant afford something then save up for it with your own money

cant you see people across the world are struggling with credit card debt
One with a lot of money on it.

Ok so im 15 i've already had a job before 2 years as a busboy in a restaurant. I got hired cause my dad was friends with the boss. I quit working cause the place had no money and couldn't pay me.

Now im thinking of going around stores and asking for a job.
So the question is should i go to alot of stores and ask? cause what if i applied for 2 places that wanna accept me.
First of all I gotta say kudos to you young man!!! You impress me, being only 15 and obviously mature and levelheaded. You need advice on how to get a job, and I hope to give you some. You need a resume, and there are usually government agencies that will help you put one together and it's always free if it's government. So ask around to your friends, family and neighbors or check the phone book to find out where you go for this service. Look under employment/youth employment. When you have a bunch of copies made up of your new resume, I suggest you just pick out some places that may be hiring youths, such as convenience stores, grocery stores, fast food places and shopping centres like Walmart etc. Be dressed in presentable clothes, nice and neat and clean ( you may actually be handing your resume to the person who hires and first impressions do count), ask to speak to the manager and introduce yourself and offer your handshake. Using words like 'Sir' or 'Mamm' is ok and considered polite and respectful and mature. They may not be able to interview you at the time, so have an introduction as to why you asked to speak to them, your looking for employement and would they accept your resume? They most likely will accept your resume at this point, thank them kindly- try to remember their name and use it when you are thanking them in the Mr. or Miss form. Dont worry, ladies wont get mad at you if you use 'Miss'. Like- 'thank you for your time Mr.Smith, I'm looking forward to hearing from you' Remember, you are trying to get a job and first impressions…you want them to want to call you…but I got a feeling you will do just right…oh ya, whatever you do…do not disrespect your past employer to the potential new employer, this is not good. Say something nice - how much you learned etc. and if they ask why you left, you could say not enough work. You could also ask the people who helped you put the resume together to make cover letters, those are mini introductions to who you are and what you're looking for- a job! Good luck !!
That doesn't seem to be a problem. Apply to as many places as you can just to be sure that you will be accepted somewhere and if you get multiple places wanting you to work for them, then you can choose between them (i guess you want a bigger salary :)). Later, send an apologize to the ones you didn't choose telling them you found a better offer. If they are acting professional they won't be mad at you, they will understand.

You are very brave, wish you luck.
I wish I knew because I am looking for a job aswell.

Umm.. yeah I would just ask around more than one place because even if u get offered more than 1, u then get to choose which 1 u take

good luck and let us know how u get on ;)
i would apply for few places if more then one wants u take the job u like better. just because 2 places wants u doesn't mean u have to take both jobs.

When will my eBay item deliver?

So I bought a phone off eBay using the "buy it now" option. But they have more than 10 of the same phones, and some people are bidding and stuff. It says the product will deliver in 2-7 business days. But I was wondering, does the countdown for it to reach my door start the moment i buy it, or once the bidding for the other ones end? Thanks a ton.
If you buy it no the person who listed it will not wait for the others to be sold, as soon as you click buy it now and it says it will be delivered in 2-7 business days than it will be.
