I am starting a modeling agency and cant find any information on the market share for that industry.

here are the questions

what is the present size of the market
what percent will you have
what is the markets growth potential
Market share is very local, so you have to do your research. Look within a 50 mile radius of where you live and see how many agencies are already there. Talk to your connections in the industry to find out which agency(ies) are the top ones, how many models they have on their books, and how many jobs they book per year. If you can get this info from 2-3 agencies, you can estimate the size of the market. This is not public information, so you can only get it through people who either have worked with that agency, or clients who work with them.

Then look at what type of businesses are currently hiring models, and how many other businesses in the area may possibly need to use models in the future - that will give you the growth potential.

The % you have will be based on how much competition there is, how many new potential clients there are, and if you can find a niche to fill the existing agencies are not touching. For example, maybe no agency in your area has a Childrens division, but there is a small toy company 10 miles away that has the potential to start advertising in the next year or two and you would be in the best position to start booking those jobs once they do decide to advertise

I have an interview coming up at a gas station, and this will be my first real interview. What do you think I would get asked and how do you think I should reply. Im kind of nervous and would appreciate the help., thanks
I've never had one at a gas station, but the best advice I can give you is to focus on the company. Employers don't want to hear about ONLY you, they want to hear about how YOU can help THEM. Just try to answer with how you can add to and better their company. Good luck!
Long story short they want you there on time show you can count, learn how to use a register, clean up blah blah oh yhe they will try to sucker you in for the night shift, take only as a last resort.

Oh yes, they think 7bucks an hours is very high pay.

good luck

My purpose in life is to love you every minute of the day and night.I will never stop loving you Sweetheart. You light up my world …………..BABE.
My goal for the future is not to be tied to a job, but to enjoy the world without being tied to the soulless, self perpetuating grindstone of global economics.
My job goal is to be self-employed so I can get away from office politics, dictate the hours that I work, earn as much or as little as I want and still enjoy my life.
In the current economic climate, just to keep my head down and to hang onto my job for as long as possible.
My goal is to try my hardest to avoid the next wave of redundancies my Company are making :( Can't believe its come to this!

I'm an American female looking for employment in Dubai. I have two years experience in IT as a Network Engineer. I took a year off to teach in South Korea and I am currently looking to get back to work in my field. What is the best approach to my job search in Dubai?
In order of best to worst

1. Find company you want to work for, find person in that company who has power to hire (not HR department), contact them and sell yourself.
2. Repeat 1 for more companies.
3. Apply to job advertisement in press.
4. Apply to specialist recruitment agency.
5. Shotgun approach sending out CVs.
6. Apply to non-specialist recruitment agency.
7. Use online job search websites.

It might help if you're in Dubai.

Im not saying I will do it but could I just deposit like 5 dollars?
For a transaction to be 'valid' you have to have sufficient funds in the account to cover the entire amount of the transaction, or risk overdraft fees.

any web site or free service

Interactive Investor claim to offer free real-time level 2 stock and stock market quotes: http://www.iii.co.uk/tradingtools/

Their charting and tools are very good, I know because I've used them for years. But have never checked how real-time their real-time prices actually are.

Another option, albeit a little involved, is to sign up for a share dealing or financial spread betting account. These generally give you access to real time prices and there is usually no obligation to actually buy any shares.
There are three types of prices. Delayed 15 mins. Real-time delayed 15 minutes and real-time. I acnnot see how you can get real time for free as the Stock Exchange that produces them charges. The suggestion to get an SB account will work (for a bit?)
Go to Yahoo! Finance and click the Europe tab in the upper left corner, i.e.: http://finance.yahoo.com/#market_summary…

If I have a 24 kt gold necklace that weighs 2 ounces and today's price for gold on the precious metals market is around $920/oz, what price range can I expect to get for my necklace by selling it to a reputable gold buyer in New York?
50-70% return is typical pawn shops will give about 10-20$.

eBay will probably end up giving you about 90% after fee's and shipping.

Don't take my word for it, go see for yourself.
Im not sure that anyone will beable to give you a definite answer because none of us are actual appraisers. But when I was selling my jewelry I found a website that had a Calculator so the seller can decide whether or not to sell there items. The website is http://www.americangoldandsilverexchange.com/what_we_pay.cfm.

Hope I Helped!!

The better question is what stocks are right for you?

Stocks range in safety from extreme high risk / high reward, to safer investments.

You need to understand you risk tolerance before you buy a stock.

where do i look, i wouldnt even know who to speak to? and i have tired monster…actually is anyone knows a place in ny lol?
not retail.
What do you know about jewelry? Have you done your homework? Can you sell yourself as someone who knows this business? Do you know the difference between a Zircon and a diamond?

You don't tell us anything about your background. You can't expect to get into jewelry manufacturing without some extensive training. And, jewelry sales, not retail, only exist in the wholesale business. Most of that is tied up in NYC, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, and Chicago — where there are wholesale trade centers.

If you don't live near one of these areas, you may be out of luck. The only other thing available to you is NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK. Talk to everyone you can contact about getting into the area of the jewelry business you want to work in. Ask for any advice, follow up on it; and, by all means, persevere. You really have to put a lot of effort into getting your preferred job.

My last suggestion is that the Jewelry Television Network is located in Knoxville, TN. They advertise themselves as the Nations largest gemstone dealer. Perhaps you should check them out.
