I'm planning to upgrade to a Radeon HD 4890 but I found in the requirements that I must have a monitor capable of HD.
This is the monitor I have right now:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236056
How could I know if it's HD capable?
And if not, what do I have to search on a monitor to know if it's HD capable?
That monitor appears to have a maximum (or recommended) resolution of 1680 x 1050. HD is higher than 1280×720. Your monitor is HD capable.

Clumsy of me, I accidentally deleted the icon on my desktop. How do I get it back? Appreciate any help.
Right-click the desktop, go to personalize, change desktop icons, click on the bin box.
I usually open the recycle bin instead of right-clicking it to make sure I'm not deleting anything useful.
probably through the control panel
though yes you should actually open it when you go to empty it.
Which one is less expensive for a great gaming PC and where can i buy the PC or the parts?
You should definitely build it from parts, here are some reasons:
1. It's a lot cheaper
2. it's a great experience
3. it's not that hard
4. you can customize it your self
If you have any trouble deciding, go to your local computer store (if you have one) they can point you in the right direction and a lot of times they can help you troubleshoot if you have any problems.
you don't need any programming experience.
here is what you need to build a decent gaming pc:
A motherboard, some good brands are Asus, Gigabyte and intel(not for overclocking).
A CPU, you can use either AMD or Intel (I prefer Intel but they both work).
Ram, your going to want at least 2gb
Graphics card, Ati or nVidia ( I recommend the nVidia GTX 260 or nVidia 9800 GT)
Hard Drive, Something fast. Any brand is fine.
Optical drive, Lite on is what i use.
Case, you should go with a full tower to keep everything cool.
Power supply (If your case doesn't come with one), at least 500watts.
An Operating System (windows vista is pretty much your only choice for gaming, but you could go with linux).
Here is the site i use: http://www.newegg.com/
If i were you i would build it.
Buy and assemble the parts yourself. That way you know you're getting exactly what you want, and it's cheaper too. There may be a little labor involved, but it's actually a lot of fun and is a good weekend project.
Also with prebuilt PCs, they're generally crippled so you have few upgrade options and the BIOS has limited features. So stick to custom DIY builds. Whoever says it's better to buy prebuilt, such as that xinyang guy, obviously has NEVER built a PC before.
For parts I would check out www.NewEgg.com and for help on building your PC and choosing the best parts www.Overclock.net is an awesome community for all things computers.
As far as which makes more financial sense that really depends on a lot. You can usually buy a PC with the same generic specs for cheaper than building it (ie a computer with a 2.4 ghz dual core proc, 500gb HDD, 3gb RAM) but the overall quality of the components is going to be less and offer far less customization as far as overclocking and ram timings ect.. Furthermore the lack of these things can effect your PC's performance if you are going to go supper technical and fine tune all these settings. On the flip side everything is set up and running an you have a support network when something goes wrong.
So it depends on what your ultimate goal is. If you just want to play games and want little hassle, go for a pre-built PC. If you are actually looking at PC's and PC building as a future hobby/interest and you really want to get your hands dirty and spend time getting everything adjusted and setup just right and researching parts and proper configurations, then go with making your own.
I would say to make the final decision find a pre-made PC you like and then price up building that exact same PC on New Egg and go from there.
I suggest you buy a full gaming PC, instead of buying the parts and assembling it yourself, that way you can use it as soon as you buy it and not waste time assembling it. Try this site, You could get a good gaming PC for under $1000 (depending on the specs you want).
Buying the parts and assembling it yourself is always cheaper to do it your building a gaming PC. Also you can customize it exactly how you like.
Assemble it yourself; that way you know exactly what's going in.

well if you know how to build it and program it well yes it will be a lot cheaper………of course you will need a good graphics card for your computer and ram as well as a fast hdd…………..I.T expert
I'm going to be downloading Superantispyware or Malwarebytes and when I do it will ask me to RUN or SAVE it which one should I click? Is there a chance on an infected computer if I use a recovery disk and some anti viruses like Superantispyware or Malwarebytes, Avira Antivir that it could delete an important Windows file that will crash the computer or am I safe to go ahead and clean the computer? I'm gonna try to put importan word docs on a flash drive if possible. PLEASE HELP!
Hi Scott…
If this is the same machine you told about earlier, then I would start looking at it in an entirely different way… I know you don't want to but you may need to say "should I try to clean it first before I reinstall Windows"?… It sounds like this is a really infected machine and it would most likely take a lot longer to try and clean it rather than to just go ahead and reinstall Windows and have a clean OS…
Sure, save any important documents, music, pictures, etc… you may need, just be sure the thumb-drive is large enough to hold everything (I've done it many times with a Flash drive) and go ahead and run the Avira Rescue Disk… Be sure to scan each of them before placing them back onto your computer…
If you try and save the Malwarebytes and SUPERantispyware, I think the only thing saved is just the installer. You'll need to let it go online to install the complete program…so, I would just wait until you have a half-way clean machine an just download and install it (RUN) right then…
YES, there is ALWAYS a chance that an important system32 file may be deleted by the program (or by you) because there will be many (maybe hundreds) of files that may be infected and you need to look at each one to decide if it is an important file, or not (it would be very hard for me)… That's why I say I would probably be a better choice to just go ahead and reformat and reinstall a clean copy of Windows… Believe me, it'll be a lot less headaches in the long run….
What ever you decide to do… GOOD LUCK !!!
P.S. My emails open for business again…
You choose Run if you want it to install completely. If you choose Save, you'll have to find the installer and install it yourself. I always save mine so i can customize the installation so it doesn't add anything to my computer that i don't need. As with any anti-malware/anti-virus, it's always good to check and see what you are deleting before you get rid of it. All of those programs will give you a warning before you delete. Just google something you may not be sure about.
And contrary to what lucee says, all of them can potentially remove a critical file.
You want to save it to your hard drive, as running in online won't completely clean up the mess. You are still getting spyware while you are online. SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes are NOT antivirus products, they are spyware removers. And neither of them have anything to do with Avira. They can't remove an "important Windows file that will crash the computer.!" where do you get this type of garbled information from?
you might want to try Safety.Live.com it is Microsoft's online virus scan and can safely remove the virus with out damage to your important files if you need a better security check out Comodo.com for a free security suite from the maker of comodo firewall pro or Avira.com for free antivirus/antispyware both work
This is something for ALL .exe / applications, not just an anti virus issue.
SAVE The applications to your computer, the "run" option will just run the setup to install to your computer - not a scan to run.
I use Nod32, so as for Avira I can't exactly say much. However, I doubt it'd detect an actual windows system file unless it's a false positive. I'd recommend looking at the file patch of the virus and googling it, viruses hide themselves as fake windows files in SYSTEM32 and WINDOWS, etc.
If your REALLY paranoid on the issue, End all processes to the so called 'windows file' and see what happens, make it not load on next windows start up via MSCONFIG.
(XP) Start -> Run -> msconfig
(Vista) start -> Search box -> msconfig -> Allow/continue.
Go to start up & services, check "HIDE ALL MICROSOFT ITEMS" and uncheck certain things you don't need loading on boot.
Also, Load your computer in Safe Mode (Press F8 continuously on start up) and see if the 'so called' windows file loads or not, Safe mode ONLY loads what it needs to, to work. It doesn't load any other things or visual effects (hence why your desktop looks scary-ish).
Super AS & Malwarebytes are both strong programs. You could possibly download and try both.
If you need a more in-depth scan, scan in safe mode (Find the application shortcut on desktop or the path's .exe file and load the program then scan).
Edit.
As for that safety.live.com thingy scanner that microsoft has, it's crap. Doesn't do/find anything. And it's always better to have a scanner installed and not online, online doesn't find as much.
I accidently exited the left sidebar on Visual basic 2008. I was wondering how to get it back up? It's the sidebar that you can get buttons and timers and labels and all of that sort of thing. But i just can't find it…
Thanks Heaps
I think you mean the Toolbox. If so, just look under the View menu and click toolbox to open it again.
FYI…it doesn't have to be on the left. You can click and drag it to other parts of the screen. I always put the toolbox on the right, but not for any good reason.

It's being blocked here too. Unless the word is GOT, in which it means that you have something. Not sure how that's an insult.

It has to be a wireless router, but your best bet is to go to Customer Service:

Nintendo DSi - Connecting Online - http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/dsi/en_na/online.jsp
I called them and got my sister's Wii set up and working on the Internet in just a few minutes.

Do you have WiFi at home? If so, you need to connect to your wireless router first.
I bought something off of a seller on Ebay, it turned out a few days later the account was closed. I already payed for this, and have a feeling i won't be getting my movie that i bought.. its already been almost 2 weeks. How do i get my money back?
Easy on the ebay site search for the contact us tab then contact the ebay associates and tell them what happened. It should work.
Try contacting ebay.
