Recriminations against women in cases like this are dangerous though - prosecuting her would send the wrong message to real rape victims. Women can only be subject to prosecution if they are 'beyond reasonable doubt' thought to be lying. The CPS should have not let this case get so far as it was obvious there could never be a conviction (as a lawyer, she must surely have known this!!!!!).

I assure you that is thousands of pounds in fees and Crown Court time wasted.

When I was in law it wasn't automatically classed as rape just because a person is drunk, unless they were so drunk that they were incapable of making a decision (ie on the verge of passing out).

I've not read the case but being drunk doesn't mean a man can rape another man or woman. If anything it makes a person more vulnerable and the rapist even more disgusting. Saying that people shouldn't allow themselves to get into such a situation that they are too drunk to say no.

Drunk people don't deserve to get raped any more than a sober person, but they do stick out as being vulnerable to a potential rapist.
Yes, for wasting police time and slurring the young man's character. If she was that drunk she couldn't remember anything, how did she remember she was raped? I don't sympathise with anyone who loses control of their own faculties especially a supposedly intelligent middle aged woman who should have known better. Having said that, no one should take advantage of anyone, drunk or otherwise but only the two people involved will know the truth of what happened.
I don't know. It's a very grey and murky area. Presumably she wouldn't have gone forward with the case if she didn't strongly feel that it was rape. Without knowing all the details it's difficult to know.

Just because she willingly kissed him and "performed a sexual act" doesn't mean she consented to sex and that he had any right to expect it.
Its hard to say isn't it? DID he rape her and he was acquitted because his defence was that she was too drunk to coherently say 'NO'? or did she panic afterwards and realise she'd acted like an idiot while drunk and slept with a random guy so she lashed out and accused him of rape? Only the two people involved really ever knows what happened in this situation, its not for us to decide if he is raping scum or she's a cry-rape fool?
It's hard to say since none of us know exactly what happened and cases like this should be judged individually.

You can't "plan" a journal or diary out. What a journal or diary is is a place where you can talk about ANYTHING you want, whether it be feelings or what you did that day. Nobody else is gonna read it expect you.

It's been proven that keeping a journal or diary helps with health issues such as anger. Instead of taking your anger out on somebody or yourself, you just write (or type) all of that emotion into your journal or diary.

I keep a journal and try and type (I keep it on Microsoft Word) everyday. It is a stress reliever and it's fun to look back on old entries.
The thing to do is to write out summarized things, not everything that is on your mind. I don't really want to write out an example, because that is just going to take to long and I am at work. Just think about what your going to write and then summarize it. It might even help you to become calmer if you are mad, and you can rationalize things a little better possibly. Hope that helps.
I think what would help is if you just try to write down everything you did that day, how you felt about it, etc. Just write about whatever you are thinking about, the things that are bothering you. I think that is the only way to really write a journal. Just try to remember the first thing you did and then the next…etc.
my diary is nothing like that and i dont write in it everyday..
i write in it maybe once or twice a week.. and its pretty much all about my emotions and my thoughts? sometimes things that happen.. i ask questions? its just whatever is going on in my life in that point of time.. i even use to b***h to my diary so that i could get it all out of my system!

SO My ex of over 2 years was arrested for robberies a couple of days ago.. I was watching the news last night and all of the sudden I see myself on tv (a pic of him and I together) while they were telling his story..I have not had any contact with him in 2 years. He was not into that when we were together. I dont want to be associated with that..Can they do that!???

My thinking is if there was a law against publishing photos shot in public all these paparazzi would be out of work.

it started out ok , work was going well , then things got a little harder , but the highlight of my day was running out of the way when a crane operator lost control of a 10 ton load while i was chainrigging for him.

WOW, what a cool question. No one ever asks me this, so i will tell you what i did. I spent all most all my day on ebay looking for jewelry beads to make necklace,s and earrings. But in the back of my brain i was so irritated because i was so frickin bored. I guess this is the time of the year that we get that way. Part of me say,s go out and work in yard, another say,s it,s to soon.
Excellent question! My day was great…I am in sales and when you can sell in this economy, it makes for a very good day. My sales were outstanding today, in fact all week. I think it was my attitude and positive energy that helped me.
Had a good, productive day and not as stressful as last week. and for that… I am very, VERY thankful.

I have been noticing that they have been making shows revolving tribes and their lifestyle habits and a show about tresure hunting and in my opinion it seems like something you would see in the National Geographic and Discovery channel.

The Travel channel i believe needs to focus on what people watch the channel for and that is travel destinations.

The only ones who seem to stay with the program is Samantha Brown, Anthony Bourdain, that new show Bridget's sexiest beaches might do well

Andrew Zimmerman (should be on National Geographic and that new show Man vs Food should be on Food Network and world Poker Tour should be on ESPN or Game Show channel.

I agree that the Travel Channel sways from it's original intention. However..how boring would THAT be! I like Andrew and Adam (Man vs. Food), and without Anthony, the Travel Channel would stink. I agree that the Tribal stuff would better fit National Geographic, but either way it's good programming.
If you think about it, all of the food shows on the Travel Channel DO have that travel feel to it. Every place that Man vs. Food and Bizarre Food is different, and that's a part of travel.
