Less anger towards the empire, less money spent on military budgeting for the area and less revenue income.
Give Ireland back to the Irish!!!!
People will be saying "Aye, the luck of the Irish is running dry." Then, there will be a notable drop in the number of reported leprechaun sitings in Ireland.
It wont because the majority there don't want to be part of the Republic.
Why doesn't the USA give Texas back to Mexico ?

The problem with a death penalty is that if you make a mistake, you can't resurrect someone if you find they are innocent, but you can release someone from gaol (aka jail) if they are later found to be innocent.
People who support a death penalty ignore the fact that for every criminal let free by the courts there is also one innocent person wrongly convicted.
Miscarriages of justice don't always work in favour of the guilty. Half the time they work against the innocent. So be wary of calling for a return to a death penalty, in case the first person legally executed, is later found to be innocent.

8:30PM local time, wherever you live on planet earth. Saturday 28 March 2009 is the time to switch of all your lights and do your bit to preserve the planet on which you live on.
Living in Australia, Earth hour is quite heavily known around here, but is it known in other countries?
Do you think switching off your lights for one hour every year will actually make a difference?
What are your views on Earth Hour?
It's stupid.
24*365=8,670, a few people turning 1/8,670 of a year is pointless. Global warming making the world 6 degrees Fahrenheit warmer on average wouldn't be so bad. There's not much difference between 59 and 65 F is unnoticeable, if the polar bears die, well, that's just because they didn't have what they needed to adapt to their environment, Darwinism proved their downfall.
There is no reason why we should have to sacrifice our development and progress as humans to save Earth. If that's what the solution is, well, I don't want to be a part of the solution. I like being able to stay up after dark and get where I want quickly. **** AL GORE!
You can take it to the bank that I'll turn every light in my house on as a vote for not sacrificing human progress to save the allegedly failing environment.
It makes no difference. Most people don't do anything like turning off everything. Besides the amount of energy in Australia saved by Earth Hour is equivalent to taking 3 cars off the raod for 1 year, I read. Not a BIG difference is it.
You know what'd make a big difference? Us being not so dependent on electricity. These random media events of flicking switches will do nothing.
earth hour definately makes a difference, just think everyone in your neighbour hood turns off their tv, computer, lights, oven, etc. Now thing , the whole of Australia is doing this. Of course it makes a difference!
althought i think the government should actually turn off our power (with force) and like a few times a month. That would help our planet heaps (although hospitals and stuff would need the power)
Earth Hour to me is pointless. It may arise some interest in the topic however ultimately does nothing in the grand scheme of things. Higher electricity costs and perhaps caps on electricity uses could be a quicker short term gain. In the long run however I have different views that would require a decrease in energy uses and the use of renewable energy resources … but that is a different topic indeed,
I don't believe it makes any difference.
We were spawned by this planet and will eventually be destroyed by it. Whether through climate change, earthquakes, rotational wobble, an erupting super volcano(like the one lying dormant at Yellowstone) or a super virus evolving.Or more likely our natural predilection to war.
Earth Hour is for the children of fear, the sky is falling, the sky is falling. No, it does nothing but promote fear to the narrow-minded..
It'll probably be a pain for the power companies trying to load balance but as far as saving the planet is concerned probably not a lot of difference.
I think it makes a difference but not a major one. It gives more awareness about the cause which is good because in the long run, there may be an improvement.

Earth hour is good.
I'm doing a report and need some crimes against humanity which are happening in the present day.
This includes wars, killings, and other related incidents.
It would help if the incidents were very specific.
For example, one would be a tribe killing children that they feel are cursed. They feel the children are cursed if the top teeth grow in before the bottom teeth. If the child is judged to be cursed, they are drowned in the local river.
A link would be helpful
Please answer ten points to anyone who at least tries to help.
thanks
I found these links:

From there follow their links and you'll find heaps of info.
Good Luck!!

"Sharia in Swat Valley
Fanatics are constructing a Taleban state in the heart of Pakistan
A man accused of burglary is shot in the head by masked men, who finish him off with additional shots while others in the street stand by. Suspected drug traders are flogged as they cower in the dust. Women are hidden beneath black burkas and banned from markets and public places. Those girls' schools that have not already been firebombed are closed down, and all girls over 13 denied any further education. A Taleban state, with all its fanaticism and blinkered Islamist zealotry, is coming into being no more than 100 miles from the ministries, courts and embassies of Pakistan's capital."

Well, George W. Bush ordering the bombing of hospitals, kindergartens, and creches in Afghanistan and Iraq, then calling it collateral damage, rates very highly on the list of modern human rights violations. The U.S.A. (again under Bush), having a concentration camp in Cuba is a human rights violation.
All the best to you, Phil

It appears that in an effort to clean up the streets (especially Fleet Street)
London councils are are hosing down the streets and doorways in the early hours of the morning in the company of police officers.
Have they suddenly got the urge to turn London into a spotless vision of a world capital?
Nope, they simply want to move the homeless on who sleep in the quiet doorways of Fleet Street and surrounding areas.
Pretending that the problem does not exist
Such a wonderful place isn't it?
My heart goes out to the homeless, especially in this cold weather, even more reason to support homeless charities in the UK. It is disgusting that we have this situation in the 21st century.
Do you know what though? I used to work there…on Fleet Street…and there was an alley I used to get into my office and EVERY morning…some heroin addict who slept there used to take a great big dump in the alley….why should I have to see and smell that in the morning? Human excrement? Disgusting…there were public toilets a few yards away…..who cleans it up? Not him. Hose them out and make them take the hostels that are open to them. EDIT How do you know my mental health history? Or my family history? You don't. SO you canot assume that I have had an easy life….I have not actually…I believe everyone should stand up and fight for themselves.
I can't say it surprises me. My borough council (in London) insists that there are only 5 homeless street dwellers at present which is absolute rubbish and they know it. They would rather ignore the problem or move it on than actually do anything to help these people.
Regrettably this is the world we live in. In the run-up to the 1996 Olympics, in Atlanta Georgia, they used bulldozers and trucks to transport the homeless outside the city limits, so the tourists wouldn't see them.
london and the rest of the uk should seriously start to buckle down on what they do. opening everything up and pretending nothings wrong leads to coups and extremists
Minded on the status of Fleet Streets where offices of all newspapers are located.
This is to prevent a biased view on journalists.
I think they are disgusting, these are real people who need shelter.
Could it be called assault if I threw a bucket of water over a councellor?
wipe that smile off your face
According to the bloke anyways. What do you think?

I seen something about this on UFO Hunters last night. It's hard to believe but it's possible. Oh thanks for the video I am listening to it as I type this.
It's possible - a race of super intelligent lizards.
The Royal family are related to them.
I assume this is a joke??? If not please see a world-class psychiatrist - hopefully before you start seeing aliens!
Where do all these crazy people come from? And how do they figure out how to get on the internet, when they think their shoes are haunted?
People say that the world would end in 2012 but now Phil Schneider say's "2052 there will be an asteroid threat that could kill us all!
That would explain the tapping noises at night.
Utter rubbish.
Who do you think it is that tries to grab your leg when you are getting into bed?
Of course they are.. They are coming from the East… I know as we have been invaded by them…. you surely know who !!
Yes. Don't tell anyone but I am one of them…
I think my friends is one of them…. ^^
Is your name Rip Van Winkle
Yawn,
yes i live with one
I been reading through different sources and they all keep on giving me different answers. I would appreciative a straight forward answer.
Obama Lousing Plan maybe.
he don't have a housing plan for the people anymore ! he gave the rest of the money away that bush did not spend hes got free rent now in the white house that's better than a section 8 apartment
If you cannot find out elsewhere, try writing a polite letter to the White House. Strangely enough politicians often answer such letters, as long as they are polite.
The same as with his other misguided plans. A lot of money is being spent with absolutely no tangible results.
Though the Red River is rising it looks like the Province of Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg have contingency plans prepared to deal with the situation.
There will be some flooding, however they are better prepared than they were in the past, and it hopefully will be kept to a minimum.
Why indeed.
It had something to do with some fight or shooting…and the Hells Angels I think…where can I read about it? (don't think it was about the airport brawl but not sure)
oh that was about a documentry of these american agents who formed a gang to go undercover and investigate the hells angles and some other gang, i suggest going on their website (ACA) because there is a documentry about the whole thing.
hope i helped

Is there any hope for them that they could bring it back in the near future? Is Russia gonna succeed in continuing to block it? If Russia falls back down again, even slightly, will the US sieze the oppertunity and sorround it with missiles?
The missile shield project is still on but the scale would only restricted to U.S. soil.
that's easy question were going to kick but come election time people see now the ways of the liberals hell even the democrats are turning away from them ! they better or this country will fall ! then we will have security when the republicans are back in
