I got 2.83 in my freshmen year, and than I got a 1.83 recently in my sophomore year right now. But how? I got B for my math, C- for social study, C for Science, and a D for English (I missed up a few projects). Was the average really 1.83? I got 2 D's in freshmen year and I got 2.83. Someone help me.

It depends how your school calculates GPA and if they are calculating a cumulative (all of the semesters you have taken) GPA or a semester GPA. Remember as the semesters pass, the Cs, Ds, and Fs can really hurt your GPA.
