i dont want to write 10 journal stories in a week…i have way to many things to do..i have to do them in class so i was thinkin print them off the computer then take them to school and copy them?

i really need help

yes I can help you. Write your journal entry in class about all the things that you have to do. I mean your in class what else should you be doing other than your work.

okay, you have to do them in class, but you have way too many things to do to write them yourself, but you have the time to copy them? Lazy butt, do your own darn assignments

Why should others do the work for you? If school is too hard, quit. Give your seat-up for someone who does want to be there.

I really need help!!!

There are actually two ways to do this. However, both ways start off with the following:

In order to actually solve 2y = 3x 8, you need to solve for the term "y."

And this is how it is done:

2y = 3x 8

(2y) / 2 = (3x 8) / 2

y = 1.5x 4

With this in mind, you can then place the two equations into a graphing calculator and then solve when the graphs intersect each other,

Or, the other way would be to do it algebraically. To do so, all you do is get rid of the "y=" altogether, and put the equations up against each other.

This is what I mean algebraically.

y=1.5x 4 and y=2x 3

–> 1.5x 4 = 2x 3 –> then you solve for "x"

1.5x 4 = 2x 3

(1.5x 4)-4 = (2x 3)-4

1.5x = 2x-1

(1.5x)-2x = (2x-1)-2x

-.5x = -1

x = 2 –> from there on, you can simply replace all x values with -2 and solve the original formula.

y=1.5(2) 4 = 3 4 = 7

y=2(2) 3 = 4 3 = 7

So the answer is 7.

divide by 2 on both sides of the 2y=3x 8 equation. So you get y=(3/2)x 4 for that equation and you keep the other one the same. Then you substitute them in for the y's so you get (3/2)x 4=2x 3. You then solve for x (which once you solve it is 2) Then, you substitute the 2 in for the x in one of the equations. Lets use y=2x 3. So then it's y=2(2) 3. Therefore y=7. So you get y=7 and x=3. Hope that helps. If it doesn't then say so and I'll edit it to try and help some more:)

If you can choose to solve by any method, I would use substitution and put 2x 3 in place of the y in the first problem.

2(2x 3) = 3x 8

Solve this equation for x and then substitute the value of x that you

find into y = 2x 3 to find y.

2y=3x 8

y =2x 3

_________ Multiply the second equation by (-2)

2y=3x 8

-2y= -4x -6

____________ Add

0= -x 2

x= 2 now put 2 into one of the two equations

y=2x 3

y=2(2) 3

y=4 3

y=7

depends i will help you algebracially, since graphically is impossible to do on yahoo answers…2y=3x 8

y=2xt3

Y=7 and x=2

2y = 3x 8

2(2x 3) = 3x b

4x 6 = 3x b

4x-3x = b-6

x = b-6 ———— if you want to solve for x

b = x 6———— if you want to solve for b

I have to make a survival guide for a bunch of people as if they are stock unplannedly on an island.

man check this guy out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMEm02s2vMY he can teach u whatever u need to know

his book is amazing too but its a lil pricy for a school project

http://www.amazon.com/Born-Survivor-Survival-Techniques-Dangerous/dp/1905026285/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222565508&sr=1-6

the essential things u would want would b something to boil freshwater not salt water to kill bacteria

survival knife for sure

canteans r nice but not needed neccisarily

extra cloths to keep warm and the bugs off u

and a flint to start a spark for a fire

i guess nonperishable food but u can just fish too so island survival isnt to difficult as long as u have a nice sorce of water

Since it is homework, plan accordingly. Have a general survival plan drawn up, but make sure the island is properly stocked with vegetation and wild animals. Stick with the basics of tools, first aid, and communication equipment.

watch survivor you'll get the jest of what you should start doing

A knockout tennis tournament is to be held for 53 players. How many yes must be given in the first round of the competition if the organizers do not want any byes in later rounds?

I just need some help to understand the question, you don't need to work it out for me, but if you want to its fine. ;)

I really don't understand the "byes" part. I think a knockout competition is where each team gets eliminated per round, right?

Knockout implies single elimination I think, meaning after you lose, you're out.

The key here is that if you have a certain number of games, for each game you'll have 1 winner and 1 loser. Basically that means that for each round of competition, the number of players remaining is always cut in half, until we finally get to 1 sole winner. This means that ideally you'll have a number of players which is a power (exponent) of 2.

Example: If you start with 64 players in the first round, you'll have 32 players left in the second round, then 16, then 8, then 4, then 2, and finally then 1.

( 64 = 2^6, 32 = 2^5, 16 = 2^4, etc.)

In this case, we have 53 players. Since we can't add anyone, there's no way to make that 64 players, so our next choice will be to pare it down to 32 players after the first round so the remaining games will play out normally. Suppose we have x players that have byes and will not play, but there are 2*y players who will play in the first round. Since 2*y players are competing, that means half of those will be winners. So we have y winners and y losers.

Thus at the beginning, we have x byes y winners y losers = 53 players. After the first round, we have the x byes y winners = 32 remaining players. This gives the system of equations:

x 2y=53

x y=32

You can then solve the system using either elimination or substitution.

Shortcut method: If we start with 53 and end with 32, we'll need to eliminate 21 players in the first round. This means that 42 players must be competing in that round to have 21 winners and 21 losers. That means the other 11 players must have byes in that situation ( 53 - 42 = 11 )

"Byes" usually refer to when a player makes it to the next round without having to play.

"2. Sports The position of one who draws no opponent for a round in a tournament and so advances to the next round."

I have to do a research report for history,and I need to know about this.I know some of the people killed were Polish(?),mentally-disabled children and elders,and Gypsies..but I need to other things too.Please help me!!

Dresden Germany (non jewish)

Dresden's population had almost doubled in the months before the attack, mainly as a result of the influx of refugees from the Eastern Front, most of them women and young children.

At 10:10 PM on February 13th 1945, the first wave of the attack, consisting of the British Number 5 Bomber Group, began. The attacking force consisted of about 2,000 bombers with additional support craft, which dropped over 3,000 high explosive and 650,000 incendiary bombs (more commonly known as firebombs) on the center of the city. Incendiary bombs are not known for their efficiency per pound in destroying heavy equipment such as military hardware or railroad tracks, but are extremely effective in producing maximum loss of human life. The loads carried by the bombers were over 75 per cent incendiaries. In fact, the goal of the first wave of the attack was, according to British air commander Sir Arthur Bomber Harris, to set the city well on fire. That he did. In Dresden, no fewer than 135,000 innocent victims died, with some estimates as high as 300,000. More died in Dresden than died in the well-known attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. More destruction befell Dresden in one day than was inflicted on the whole of Britain during the entire war.

I was recently at Dachau Concentration Camp outside of Munich Germany. They have one room in the museum dedicated to the various groups who were sent there. Besides the groups you mentioned, they sent Communists, gays, Jehovah Witnesses, Evangelicals, and Russian prisoners. All were considered enemies of the state. There was also a separate prison there for high ranking political prisoners being held as hostages. These were killed just before Dachau was liberated.

Here's an article about the markings used in concentration camps for the different kinds of prisoners: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_concentration_camp_badges

Are you talking about the Ukrainian famine or the Armenian genocide?

Unfortunately, many people were caught up in this.

Okay…so I have to write a short story can anyone be creative enough to describe a man from denmark like his characteristics, likes, dislikes, physical appearance etc. The most creative and helpful one will get picked best answer. Thank You guys in advance. ;)))

well first of all, people are alike every where believe it or not. think about what you wanna bring to the story and then imagine him. how old is he? what does he wear when he goes out to get the mail? is he married? answering these questions will make you see the character.

one thing i can help you with is he is fair skin, dirty blond hair, hair line declining, sort of fat and dresses like it is still 1995. (i know a guy like that!)

I would suggest that you choose Hamlet. He is a fictional Danish character but very well known to most of the world. You could have fun with him and give him the physical characteristics of a Dane. His personal traits are more well known and can you can take some liberties with them e.g. suffers from paranoid schizophrenia (ie he believed he could see and speak to his dead father's ghost)

Of course, you have to have read "Hamlet" for this to be any use to you.

You should read it.

Ma'am, with all due respect, there is a difference between asking a question and asking a favor. As a professional writer, I could certainly do the favor you ask if you'd like to hire me. Otherwise, I think I should limit my response to answering questions.

May I suggest you TRY writing something and ask us for feedback. I am happy to help someone, but I do not like doing someone assignment.

You can major in anything you like. No specific major is preferred by dental schools.

Just make sure to take the pre-requisite sciences for dental school. Check the admission requirements for the schools you're interested in on their websites to see what courses you should have.

If you plan on having your own dental practice, take some basic business courses.

What is your best answer to this? ?

You are driving in an expensive car (BMW something like that) and you stop at a bus stop and you see three people, an old lady who is about to die, the love of your life and you cant imagine being with somebody else, and a friend who did something so great and you owe him(her) your life. but your car has only two seats in your car…what is the best thing to do?

Give the car to the friend who saved your life and ask him(her) to take the old lady to the hospital. You and your love take the bus.

better buy a new car….

and dont make the mistake again
